City Wharf, Dandara Living’s 492-bed Purpose Built Student Accommodation scheme in Glasgow will be delivered in a joint venture with Gamuda Land UK Limited

This collaboration marks Gamuda Land UK’s first student housing project outside London and is a significant milestone in its expansion into the UK property market. Dandara Living, with its extensive track record in delivering high-quality rental and student housing, will serve as both Developer and Contractor for the project.
Occupying a prime location adjacent to the Kingston Bridge at Anderston Quay, City Wharf will offer a range of modern studio and cluster rooms within walking distance of the University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University, ensuring students have easy access to academic institutions and city amenities.
Glasgow is one of the UK's largest student populations, however, it faces a significant shortfall in dedicated student accommodation, leading to increased pressure on the private rental sector, further highlighting the need for sustainable and purpose-built housing solutions. Dandara and Gamuda Land UK aim to help bridge this gap while setting new benchmarks for student living in the city.
With a strong emphasis on sustainability, City Wharf will integrate low- and zero-carbon technologies, to achieve a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating. These features not only enhance energy efficiency but also contribute to the city’s wider efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.

Construction for City Wharf commenced in 2024, with completion targeted for the 2026/27 academic year.
